According to Spotify's just-released 'Loud & Clear' document, Australian artists generated more than $300 million in royalty payments on the streaming giant in 2024.
Behind the stats:
Total plays of Australian artists on Spotify globally hit 57.1 billion in 2024.
More than half the royalties were generated by independent artists or labels.
More than 80% of the royalties can be attributed to listeners outside of Australia.
This places Australia in the Top 10 music exporters worldwide.
